Calypso Defence Force - Provisional Warning

The Calypso Defence Force has broadcast a provisional warning over what appears to be footage and images submitted from colonists. Orb-like phenomenon have been spotted on Calypso, with recent footage captured outside of Fort Lahar.

The CDF has contacted the RDI (Research and Development Institute) to conduct further investigations, notably into the orbs themselves, but also the emissions heard emanating from them.

Colonists are advised to exercise caution.

Rare drops from Argonauts near Orbs. Can be used to upgrade existing unlimited claw weapons with increased DPS and Efficiency while retaining tier levels.

RDI internal leaks suggest dangerous new weapons have been discovered in circulation, potentially valuable for colonist-vs-colonist combat.

Audio Analysis

Community Investigation: Colonists AkiranBlade, image zz, Neon PT, and Tomashar have conducted extensive audio analysis of the orb emissions using spectrometry and frequency isolation techniques.

Findings:

Audio Structure: ~55 second looping pattern detected at all orb sites
Two Distinct Voices: High-pitch whisper overlaid with low-pitch quiet voice
Voice Character: Described as "harry potter snake whispers" style communication
Spectrogram Data: Hidden patterns detected between frequency ranges
Higher Frequencies: Mechanical whirring noise masking potential encoded data

Analysis Techniques Employed:

Audacity noise reduction and frequency filtering
Spectrograph editing to isolate voice components
Voice isolation AI tools (limited success)
Critical discovery: Noise reduction profiles cannot include vocal frequencies or voice data is destroyed

Current Challenges:

Analysis has reached technical limitations - excessive background noise interferes with voice extraction. Removing noise simultaneously removes voice clarity, creating a "brick wall" in decoding efforts.

NPCs suggest examining specific frequency ranges for hidden messages. In-game lore states: "The whispers grow louder with each discovery."
